I have a sample of the red that I DID use on my 18 and a sample of the darker blue that I DID NOT end up using on my 18. I do not have a sample of the light blue. I will look again tonight but I'm pretty sure I do not have any left. I will mail you some of each.

I should have a sample of the lighter blue soon. I have ordered samples from www.decalzone.com (which made the blue and red stripes for my 18 - for those who do not know this).

I might actually go with the darker blue stripe on my current boat (even though I sort of hate to not have the two boats match) because the darker blue will pull in the color of the engines better. I just haven't made that call yet.

    Mark,

Thanks for the offer. We are back from the boat trip.

I may take you up on that. I am feeling much better and we are traveling again.

Just taking a tour through some old strings and wanted to make sure that this got a "Sticky" recongition in the restoration section for those interested.

"Decals - I got them from Vinyl Approach. www.vinylapproach.com. This company worked out the exact decals with a ski team some years ago. See the pics. They are high quality and are exact replicas of the original period decals".

Not to digress from this thread but the vinyl approach side decals for Hydrodyne Boats TM were a collaboration with me, my Autocad guy, and Mark Lewis of of Vinyl Approach in the Spring of 2012. After three itterations of photos and templates from the Hydrodyne 20 I/O shadow's of the decal in the gelcoat, we got it right. Bryan, maybe a sticky in the restoration section so others are informed. If you have an old 18 and want to broadcast the builder, these are the perfect. See #'s 26 and 27 of the following string.

Actually per a few folks' suggestions, I'm going to be splitting the restoration section up soon, and making it its own section with a few subcategories. At the minimum, there will be a showcase (where all the restorations will go), and a Suppliers section, where people can post information on suppliers for restoration parts and such. Just been really busy with work, but will hopefully have this finished in the next couple days.

Sounds good Bryan. I think we all could benifit from a suppliers area. Now, back to MarkB's thread about the 20....

    Hi Mark,
I've been reading old posts and found this one about your 20' twin rig. Is there another posting that shows the completed project? Just wondering how it turned out. I love seeing the ski-show boats being restored. Pete

    Pete:

This is a 2012 post and if I reconcile correctly, Mark sold this boat for a complete Twin-rig (red hull) and now that is gone as well. no restoration to post if I am correct.

Correct. He sold it to Tim, who also has done nothing to it.
