I need a replacement Hydrodyne emblem and I cannot find one anywhere. I have looked into having one cut on a water jet but the company needs something in writing allowing me to have one made. Some sources state that Calabria boats owns the name but they do not answer their phone. When I try to send an email it gets kicked back. Has anybody dealt with this before and found a solution?
I had some emblems made from vinyl for the car window about two years ago, and I was given the same response... they wouldn't make the logo without permission... I just explained the Hyrdrodyne history and name to them and showed them a web link that also tells that the name is no longer used in marine, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrodyne and they then made them for me without a problem. If they refuse to budge, maybe just ask a different shop...
I will let you know how it goes. I will also reach out to a friend who's parents had a flat top. They may still have the boat, but it has been sitting for 30+ years if they do. I may see if it is around and buy the emblems off it.....if it is still there.
Tried to PM you but there were restrictions in doing so. You might want to check with the recent post who is parting his 1974 boat out or selling it as a project, Looks like he has the emblems you are looking for.
I was out of town for the weekend and just returned home....sorry I missed your message. I got my emblem issue taken care of so my need is not urgent anymore. I appreciate your notifying me of a member parting out a boat. I still have one of my original emblems in perfect condition and it would be nice to get another to match. I got a pair made out of aluminum and they look great so now my boat is not naked on one side. Thank you and hope you had a safe and happy 4th!
I have a place iin my town that can easily make them up. Does someone have something that can be used as a pattern?
