i thought i had more finished boat pictures, they must be on my camera at the shop, good enough for now, u get the idea. I would love your input
can you email me more pictures of your restoration. I have the exact same boat 1967, and it needs restored like yours. but i don't know what all goes where. the guy i bougt it from took everything appart except the motor. hydroron email patronn@charter.net
when i get home, i'll send your a zipped file of all my pics, i still have the current ones on the camera, which is at my shop, so maybe by the weekend, send some pics of your boat as it is currently, if you need any help, they folks here are GREAT! at helping wioth sound advice. Mark
I took mine off by cutting the staples by hand, then i soaked it in a bathtub full of diluted bleach for a month, then scrubbed it with steel wool, and then pressure washed it, some spots i sanded and then lighter sand paper, u know.
I've found a 60's Hydrodyne that looks just like yours. The one I've found has a 6 cyl I/O mercruiser. Would that engine be original to the boat? Do these boats have much value to them one repaired/restored. I'm not looking to make money, but also don't want to sink money into something that won't give back at least most of my investment, if I do eventually need to sell. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks, Geof
I've had some offers, but no serious offers (i'm also not completed). I question weather i'll get my money back from it, but i also like the style of the boat a lot. I'm not sure to the originality of your motor, but there is a dealer brochure of the hydrodynes on this forum somewhere, you can check the engine options there i guess. Good luck
I have a 1963 that has the same color blue yours originally did. I'm debating about trying to just restore the original paint as much as possible, but I LOVE the paint job you did. How did you go about repainting yours? Also I would like to see the rest of your restoration pictures too if you don't mind! Thanks! Scott
