    Hey Dyne74:

Nice work on the resto. Its truely amazing that a +30 year old hull can be restored to the condition that you and others on this site have acomplished. Good thing that the balsa core was not compromised, that can be a major structural issue for the hull.

I have a 351 Cid Winsor also but mine has a production date of 1976 and is coupled with the mercruiser Alpha 1 outdrive (see attached pic). I have a 3 blade 21 pitch SST prop (as shown) but I typically run a 19 pitch highfive which produces tons of holeshot. I do not put any additional ballist in the bow because the 18 gallon fuel cell levels the boat well.

Love to see the progress pics, keep the site posted on the progress,

    Kevin-

The paint shop used a white urathane paint no clear. We hoisted the boat off the trailer using a scafold in the front and rear, lifting it from the U bolts on the transom and the single U bolt on the bow. We got it high enough to sand and paint the hull, but kept it low enough to do the rest of the boat. I should have taken pictures while it was at the body shop so you could see what we did. I didn`t want to flip it to do the hull because there was still fuel in it, it worked out well I thought. I wasen`t going to paint the entire boat, but my body man wanted to do the whole thing, I didn`t argue because the job didn`t cost me much. It came out really glossy, which I`m ok with because it`s easier to keep clean.
Thanks for all the encuragement from everone. I`m just trying to keep another Dyne on the water.

    Is there any Hydrodyne gatherings

Mine is a 351 2bbl that came out of a car, the block is a 1972, never rebuilt since then. It`s only got about 100 hrs on it since it`s been in the boat, could last 10 years or 10 minuites, it still runs good. I have a 17 pitch (stump puller)prop, a 19 and a 21. 30 years ago my dad said the boat would do prop stands with the 17, barry the speedo`s with the 19, but didn`t have the jam to spin the 21. The 21 is a custom stainless prototype, but I`ve done some tunning to the motor, so we`ll see if she can spin it now. I don`t really want to wreck the speedo`s by going to fast, so I might have to put an in-line shut-off valve in the pedo tubes.

Few more pictures of the mock up for the through hull exhaust, got to make some polished stainless tips for it yet and the completed instrument cluster. All wireing complete, finally!!
    Getting closer.
What do you think of the custom made Hydrodyne logo's??

I had a guy who faded off that was talking about making logos like you have. Others might be interested if you have a connection.
