Anyone running a PefectPass speed control on a dyne instead of twin Airguide? Did you replace one of the speedos or both? Pics of your set up would be great.
Most Hydrodynes are used for show skiing. Show skiing driving is completely different than driving a slalom course. On the most basic level, there are times when you want one speed, in a show ski performance window, and outside of the window, the driver needs the freedom to go faster or slower to keep the show flow going. yto the best of my knowledge, Perfect pass will not allow these speed adjustments. Here, watch this you tube clip of one of the best examples of show ski driving made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCGSEjZstqM Do you think Perfect Pass could do that? Looking back at your post, I noticed you have an Inboard Hydrodyne. Good boat. The standard practice is to pull one air guide speedo, your choice, and put the Perfect Pass display there. Make sure you have a good supply of electricity to the Perfect Pass. They are sensitive to the voltage the control box gets, and when the control box is adjusting the speed, it needs a lot of current. If you have poor wiring, when the controller tries to adjust the speed, the voltage drops off, and then the Perfect Pass control shuts off, and the boat goes back to idle.
I agree with DanielC's example, but: Greg Hind (ghind on this forum from Tasmania) runs a modified perfect pass on an outboard. He loves the setup and I am sure he will give you all the information you need. jim
