How wide is this 20' long 18' boat? The actual 18' versions are significantly narrower than the 20's. I believe the18's are just over 6' wide rub rail to rub rail, while the 20's are in the upper 7' to lower 8' range. Have not measured, but should be closer to 6' or 8'. If it is closer to 8', then you most likely have a 20' hull with the 18' style deck re-sized for a 20.

When I was given the first measurement I was on the dumb end of the tape and my assistant told me the length.....I asked him 3 times if the number he told me was correct. I measured it by myself a couple of days ago and it is 18. So....I was incorrect on the 20. I apologize for that.

No Apologies required for measurements, often the windshield (if it has one) gets added in. I will dig through my links and files but you amigo have a nice 18 with some imperial upgrades from what it looks like.

Maybe he was measuring to the back of the lower unit? Was hoping you really did have a 20' with a custom deck though.

I held the tape even with the transom and we held it high enough to clear the windshield.....then the front measurement was eyeballed. It obviously was a horrible eyeball job. What I have been told is that somebody who went to school at the academy was really into skiing and decided they needed a dedicated ski boat. So they had this one built for that sole purpose and it was donated. It was built by Hydrodyne with dual throttle control and the very nice interior. People who can afford to go to the academy have no lack of funding, and they have very nice equipment. Later on they had at least 5 and maybe 6 Hydrodyne Grand Sports. We have only removed the second throttle and had a matching back to back seat made. It is a very nice boat and I am fortunate to have inherited it.
