Madison Wisconsin has 4 lakes connected by rivers and locks. Great food and bike trails. Great attractions near by. Being the liberal mecca of the Midwest though, expect a group to protest the gas-guzzling motors on the dynes.
That is a good idea, perhaps Tim will look into it as will I since we need to start ironing out a location for '08. I can't wait for this summer at the nationals so we can all meet. Daniel
Steve, Meet Daniel. Daniel - Steve. Steve - have you watched the video made by Daniel and Bryan in the media section? Daniel's 1973 dyne with the twin towers of power a/k/a - the wheelie boat. Speaking for myself, I've weened myself down a bit. I now watch that video no more than 5 times per day. Mark Jr isn't doing as well. He still watches it about 10 times every evening.
Hi, Any ideas for the '08 REGATTA? I hope that we have a good turnout, better than the Nationals. In order to achieve this, we as a group must post ideas that will help in any way to get this thing done. Those of us who made it to Nationals had a good time and I will not forget the look on Tom Miller's face as Dynebob's '98 Dyne took him for what he said was the strongest 18 footer ride he had been on. I would like to see his smile when he sees a whole herd of Dynes and their owners doing what Dynes and Dyners do best. We have one year to accomplish this thing. Let's get it done.
Are there still plans to hold the 2008 Hydrodyne Regatta? It was sure nice to meet up with some of the fellow "Dyners" at the Nationals last fall in Rockford. I know it's early in the year, but if we don't get a head start, the months will just roll around. (Time flys when you're having fun...) "Tim Sprandel" ...are you still out there ????? ( I know you are the coordinator for this event) Bob
Hi There DyneBob 1! I am still around a little and I called you last week about your '77 and if it is still available. If there is to be a '08 Regatta, we had better (all of us, that is) get busy and get it together by finding a quality lake with a great ski site for early September. I can do a lot of legwork and I really hope this thing comes together and brings us closer together as a group. As I mentioned, I am driving a truck part time some evenings of the week to bring a Dyne into my life, but the regatta will be a priority. Send me an email with your ideas! Thanks, Tim
