I am looking at restoring my 86 dyne.
where do i cut the back end to access
    the rotting transom?

also when i replace the stringers ,
and flooring what is the BEST wood
to replace the rotten stuff with?

i am going to try to start this project this winter!

    any tips,suggestions,comments are welcome,thanks

i am sure i will have many more questions throughout
    this long process for me.

For the transom, if you do not want to remove the whole deck, I would recommend cutting the splashwell out complete with the pylon reinforcing area at the back of the passenger area. this gives you alot less fiberglass to repair when you put this part back in. Removing the whole deck may actually be easier if you are able to lift it off.

As to the materials, I think MarkBano would be the best one to ask about what he used and what worked.
