I would like to echo what Pam said. Thank you all for the kind words, and thank you Mark for the thread.

I know there are some questions for me on other threads, but I am very busy right now. I hope you all understand. As of now we are still planning on being at nationals. I will be able to answer some of your questions then. I might be able to get to some of them in a few days.

    Thank you all,

    jim

The memorial for Jim Leroy, Jr. was held today at Dupage Airport in West Chicago, Illinois. It was a beautiful and moving ceremony celebrating Jim's life, followed by the "Missing Man" formation flown overhead by the Lima Lima Flight Team.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Jim and Pam, and their wonderful family. Below is a picture of the hangar where the memorial was held and the T-34's after they landed, following the Missing Man formation flown in honor of Jim Leroy. It was incredible to see how many people gathered on this hot, hot day to pay tribute to a fine gentleman and one of the best pilots ever to take to the sky. He obviously touched one heck of a lot of lives.

My father called me yesterday and told me he went to that ceremony. He said it was publicized in the local paper in Elgin. He said it was a nice ceremony, and had a great turnout in spite of the weather.
