I am going to have shirts, hats, mugs, and stickers made in the next month. I all ready have full-size hydrodyne stickers (Identical to the ones on the back corners of the older dynes) made and they look good on the back window of your truck or on the trailer. They can be used to replace lost logos on your boat. I can have them made in any size or color also.

But what I need is ideas on what should be on the shirts and mugs. So any suggestions post them here and I will run with them.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

I think just the old school logo over the stripes would look cool on a shirt or even on the back of a jacket

Can't use the logo for anything. I wish that I could, rules are rules.
I Don't have approval from the trademark owner that owns the name "Hydrodyne". I have tried to but no dice.

    Just an Idea,
Was there any discussion of a small royalty payment to the party that owns the "Hydrodyne" trademark? If there were a $1.00 fee per item approximated, he or she might make a little bit of money and simultaneously improve the net worth of the trademark.

I tried that he only wants a yearly fee for which he would not give me a set price. So I kinda let it go and just stay away from useing anything that says Hydrodyne on stuff that I sell.

It sounds like he/she wants to make a bundle when they unload the trademark to the highest bidder in the future. In a perfect world, the molds, trademarks, and ownership world be under one roof and the breed would evolve for the better, and we could still get a real 18 out of the proper mold.

    Tim,

It is a little more complicated than that. The Hydrodyne 18's were built last by Crosby. That company shut down or was sold along with the molds.

Crosby's son (Ab Jr) started a new company called Three Rivers Industries and designed and built the 17.6 and the 20 which were new boats. Those boats were sold as Hydrordynes. When that company was sold, the name went with it. By that time they had ceased to build outboards and were building inboards.

I might have some of the details wrong, this is just off the top of my head, but you get the gist of it I guess.
