What does your boat look like? I collected pictures of nearly every Hydrodyne 18 ever shown on the internet for about 2 years. I lost most of the collection when my computer crashed but I have some still. If you describe your boat I might be able to find it. Your name sounds very familiar. I think I remember seeing your boat on Fiberglassics. All of the hydrodyne pictures on Fiberglassics were suddenly removed about a year or so ago. While there are many new pictures on there now, many of the pictures that were on there are no longer there.

I am putting some pics together and will have to scan them. Won't get to it till after the holidays. The Dyne wake in it's day was the best. I think alot of the tourn. ski boats with todays technology are probably better. Although I don't ski much any more. The short line trick and long line Barefoot was the best. I did some jumping, mostly clowning around on tricks over the ramp.

The picture I had on fiberglassics was an 18' on the trailer in a warehouse. It had red, white & blue stripes on the front deck, along the sides and on the Johnson outboard engine cowl. I have it stored now and shrink wrapped. I will look for some old pics and also post new ones in the spring.

    Happy Holidays,

    Marty,

    Thanks for the comments.

I would also be interested in hearing your comments on the amount of power required to make the 18 a good family ski boat.

The team drivers all lean toward 200+ hp, but my question is in regard to the family boating arena.

Ah yes the one with all the stripes. Found a picture of it in the forum from awhile back... Here you go.

That's it !! I can't believe you found it. The motor is a 140hp. Does about 45-48 mph. I am looking for a picture I have that has 4 matching 18' Dynes, mine being one of them. Two others had 150's and one had 200hp. We used them in a ski school at a resort in Southern Wisconsin back in the 80's. We had some good times. The picture includes all the Drivers and Instructors posing with the boats.

Can you please put my Dyne picture with the other pictures or tell me how to do that. Thanks.

I had posted those pictures on this website awhile back from my collection of pictures, most of which I've lost because of a computer problem. I'd know the boat immediately from the description. It is very unique and very nice. We'd love more pictures of it if you have them.
