    Hello friends,

I need a new cover for a Dyna-Ski 1800 and in Chicago and the boat is in Wisconsin. Can someone tell me the length and beam to purchase a new cover. I think it is 17' 9" and the beam is 76" but want to confirm. Can someone tell me?

Rebuilt the engine over the winter. 150HP Mercury XR2

Never saw the Dyna-Ski 1800 stickers like that before. Must of been something Pete put on.

That boat looks like the one Tom Miller had with the 90 Honda on it back in about 1998 or 1999.

    Neal,

You might want to look at having a custom type cover built for your boat. I had a universal cover for my 18 and everytime you got a decent rain, it would cave in and the boat would take the water inside. Most of the older Hydrodynes needing floors was because they weren't stored properly and the floors kept getting soaked.
Granted a good custom cover will cost way more than a universal...but it looks like you've got a nice boat there to protect. I'll attach a picture of the one I had Fox Lake canvas make up for me.

That is Rami Amir's 18'. He must have decided to sell it this year. I don't believe he has used that boat over the last probably 3 to 4 years. It just sat. His kid no longer skis with the Aquanuts so I am betting he finally let it go. That was one of the first 18s that Tom built again. That was the boat he had on display at Think Tank many years ago. That was when he first started using the name Dyna-Ski instead of his current name "The Dyne". I wonder what the boat sold for....

    Greg,

I am friends with Rami's son and took the project on to get it up and going again. The boat needed re-wiring, instruments, water pump, engine work as well as the standard water pump.

He is not interested in selling it.

I have three kids on the Aquanuts and it will do a great job once again pulling up some young skiiers.

    Neal,

That is awesome. I was shocked when it sounded like he sold it. I know he never used the boat. It was always sitting across the ski site. It sounds like you are planning to use it for juniors help. That is cool. A lot less intimidating than an inboard. Tell Danny Greg W. says hello. I think i will come visit the team this Wednesday for the show. :good:

Will do Neal. I got your e mail by the way. Sounds like you had some fun doing all those things to the ole' 225. Wow what a lot of work. I bet running those wires was fun. If the weather is decent I will be at the ski site tomorrow.
