Hull id or serial number

    This is the number inside the starboard rear corner, A0720410 Is this a serial number or hull id? Normally hull ids are outside. This is a different format.

    it is a Hydrodyne but not sure what year just boug
    I also have an A0720515 plate that came off the starboard side inside the boat like you not sure what this number is and trying to register the boat this is all I have

    77 Dyne 18 I/O converted to Outboard
    The requirement for the outside hull id was established in 1972 with a specific format. Before that there was no standard.

    Jim, so does this mean that an earlier boat like mine (early 60's 17' I think) can be anywhere?

    (just NOW got it home and can't find a HIN or anything for that matter.. Hope I'm not screwed in registering it..
