Re: hydrodyne regatta / meat High everyone, well I am anyway! I finaly got the interweb to work again, i havent been able to talk to anyone at this sight for a while because the company behind me found the cable I had hooked up to their cable through an old dock door and into an office tehy dont use any more. they followed the cable and pulled it out of my house through a hole I drilled in my wall. the computer wouldnt fit through the hole and they pulled it off the table onto the floor and it broke some interweb cord plug off the computer when they yanked the cable out of my house a peace of the computer went through the hole too and then it didnt work anymore so I couldnt telk to you guys about hydrodynes anymore. Me and the sugar plumb just got back from Manatwowish waters with the truck, camper, and the new boat. It's not a hydrodyne, it's an aristocraft, just like me and its one sweet float. I was on the river and i saw a guy on his dock with a camera and he took a picure of it with me, butter buns and the kids in it. Thats butter buns hiding behind my love gut in the matey seat. you know what the first mate does in my boat when the lil ons arent around but I dont know why they call it a first mate were way down the rode from our first mate, we have the little monkeys The wheather was beautiful for the hole weak, but I dident see many Hydrodynes there. I did see a whitey one with a Yahama 200 on it, it were nice! we parked the truck camper in mercer at night and left the boat on a beach in Adler lake doen the river from manitwowish lake. we dont go to the pee patch any more because the those people are two rich for us. We wqent to the howlin dog for suds at night. Did you guys have a meat this year? I must have missed it the water was really full at the lakes here is a photo of the Taterthrust. it is retired now and ldft the way we last used it in the bak yard. someone asked about the cerial number so I took a picture of it. I had to dig throug a mountain of good memories behind the seat to find it, but there t was. It started to crack more in the back and butter buns got the manager job and we bought this aristocraft boat. it shines better than snot in a mustache. so sweet the guy sent me the photos of the boat on the river with the family in it to my new computer. this one has a no wire thing so i will never have to pay for interweb again
Re: hydrodyne regatta / meat Welcome back Bunny!! However, as I mentioned to you already, please use your original account. No need to be creating new accounts every other week now is there?
Re: hydrodyne regatta / meat I hope you didn't sell the Taterthrust. I hear those things are becoming really valuable on the grey market. I have never had the good fortune of owning one, but my mother did get the chance to drive a Lardosse Tatertot. Here is a picture of her in a Water Ski Show in Green Bow, Alabama in 1962. You can read more about it on http://www.Taterthrusters.com, but I have to warn you, it may not be compatible with all interwebs.
Re: hydrodyne regatta / meat I don’t know how I missed this thread. I have heard of Tater from LA (lower Alabama) through the years, but I have never met him. All I know is what I have learned through the “good ole boy network”. He was known for his “splash” boats and his rather imaginative data plates. He did not build many of them because he was a one man operation. They are rare. I also heard that his grandson has come into some money and has started collecting all of Taters various boats. He is opening a museum in LA and is paying big money for any Tater boat he can get his hands on. There apparently were various models built with the Thruster being one of the very rare models. I remember a picture of his prototype boat that was rather bizarre looking, but I seemed to have misplaced it. I will look for it. I think the TaterTot in the picture was one of a kind. I don't know what happened to it. jim
Re: hydrodyne regatta / meat I hope that we can all bring our boats to one place for a weekend and spend some quality time together. As we have seen, the 2008 Meat did not get off the ground and sadly, it did not even sink in the water, at least we would have been closer than we are now to meating. Perhaps next year.
Re: hydrodyne regatta / meat Dynebob 1, Perhaps we could have a minimeat if you, MarkBano, and I congregated somewhere around here. Like a good investment, it could grow if it happens and the time and place are right. I will call you to see if you have a good idea and Mark wants to meet you and see the Hydrodyne Hall as well. What other craft have you added to your repertoire lately??? Watcher.
Re: hydrodyne regatta / meat If you guys are interested, the marina on Beaver Dam Lake is open again. There is lots of space, fuel and a boat launch. I'm sure the owner would be willing to allow us to goof around there with the boats. Plus there is 12 miles of lake to play on. I would suggest Sept 20 or so.
Re: hydrodyne regatta / meat Erich, Thanks for the suggestion. Is the club site available if the town can rent it out meaning if no other party has spoken for it? Also, are water levels good this year or has there been difficulty on the lake due to high or low levels? Thanks, Tim Beaver Dam is about 40 minutes northeast of Madison, Wisconsin. We will have to keep watch for troublemakers in the form of Taterthrusters and their ilkish Bunny Hoppers. I want clean water if you can appreciate my thought pattern.
