I have a 1990 20 foot tom miller dyne with a 2006 250 ETEC. It is a plain white boat that needs decals. The previous ownerwas not able to get decals for it so I am going to try to get the original style decals. If anyone know someone that makes them or has the abiity to get them please pass this on. Thanks for any help.

I pretty sure that Hydrodyne was still building outboards in 1990 so your boat would not be a Tom Miller boat. One way to tell is if the boat has a single motor transom. Tom never built any single motored transom boats as that deck mold was different.

I think the last factory outboard Hydrodynes were built as late as 1992 or 1993.

Check the serial number on the starboard side of the outer transom. That will tell you who built it and when it was built. Miller boats begin with FPD. I think the FPD boats began in the mid 90's. The last two numbers are the year it was built. The letters are federally assigned.

The Hydrodynes have a serial number beginning with THI. They could possibly have a serial number beginning with TRI, although I have never seen it.

It is a Hydrodyne if it is a 1990 boat. Actually, Tom Miller worked for the Crosby's then and had a hand in building them.

You will probably need to have the decals and paint scheme done from scratch. It is not that difficult. There are many shops that can do that.

The outside shop that we use at Dyna-Ski to make our Dyna-Ski decals made the replacement decals for my Hydrodyne. They are expensive decals in my opinion but if you want to restore it to look original Sara can do it. Some pictures of my restored 1987 17.6 XB Hydrodyne boat are on this site elsewhere.
