New hull and motors are in.

All gauge holes are drilled for 4 I-Command gauges, key switches are in, helm is in. Need to run the hoses for steering and mount the splashwell T fittings for the dual cylinders.

Yes there is a 225 in the middle of the 200HOs. Did that for resale purposes so we did not have all 200s to sell and the regular 225 is essentially the same motor as a 200HO except for the Magnum SLE gearcase vs the Lightning case. I'll check it once I hook the laptop up, but I believe the ECU map is the same between the 200HO and 225. This weekend we will do the steering work, cut the tie bars and mount the Livorsi control.

You probably know that those gearcases are prone to sucking up sand if you beach them with the motor tilted up a little. A friend of mine left one running like that while he parked his car and it filled the cooling system with sand.

    Jim,
Fortunately, or unfortunately we don't have any sand in our lake. It is all mucky/silty bottom and we don't beach our boats. I have been very impressed by the super high volume cooling the new E-Tecs have. Very robust system.

I know many teams have issues with weeds etc but we've never overheated a motor at our home site.

I ran a low water pick up lower on my 2.5 260 and never had any issues. You just need to watch them.

Another friend picked up a garbage bag on one and cooked the motor. You really only need one if you are running a surfacing prop. You have all kinds of over temp warnings, so it should not be an issue.
