Just back from Indiana with my refurbed 1971 Dyne. Ok, I got back saturday night, but I've been busy since. Rigging pics to follow as I get time to take pics and post em.
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne It's a trailmaster 4 bunk trailer (SC1830) http://www.trailmastertrailers.com/trai ... aster_tube If you get one, I recomend tightening all bolts before travelling very far. Other than that, it seems to be a nice trailer.
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne Yes, the fun has been going since I got back. Updates (forgot to take more pics though): Motor mounted (thanks Must-ski motors) Throttle in and shift/throttle cables hooked up (both ends) fuel line run and hooked up bilge mounted and hose run (needs wiring still) oil tank and battery box mounted Prop installed (17 pitch OMC SST from our twin) I believe tonight will be gauge mounting. I have (1)-3" airguide, (2)-3" I-commands, and (1)-2" I-command. And I haven't figured out if that's all I will need for sure, so I am considering leaving room for a 4th 3" across the top. Supposedly, my 2.4 cu in helm will be here early next week, so that shoots the plan of hopefully hitting the water this weekend. Oh well, that gives me more time to work on wiring and such that would have been left for later. I am also still waiting for a few I-command items that will be trickling in between next week and the end of may. I think the only critical item I am missing there is the consolidator hub, so hopefully that's the first one to arrive. I can deal with not having fuel level sensor, memory device, and paddle wheel triducer for a while.
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne I was looking at the instrument on their web site. It sounds really cool. I only saw one instrument though, it was a speedometer that monitored several parameters also. It looks like you will not need any speedometer pickups, and I am thinking about removing mine and just hook both airguides to the motor pick-up. The hull mounted pickups are kind of erratic compared to the motor pickup. jim
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne You are correct Jim. I will be using the motor pickup for the airguide, then I have a GPS antenna and paddlewheel that I can use for the I-command. The info on the website I found is severely lacking. Must-ski sent me an ariticle from a magazine that helped out quite a bit. Anyone know if I can legally post a pdf of a magazine article on here? If not, I can forward to anyone who may be interested in learning more about these gauges.
