Interesting thing is that some of these boats have WI registration. I assume a Merc/Bartlett connection.
Not sure I've seen the blue/red/blue striping before. Also, pretty impressive numbers for the motors they are rocking. 20 skiers on a single, and 10 barefooter on twin towers of power! What can yours do 2Mercs?
What do you want to know about the Sea World Boats , drivers, etc. Looks like they came from Andy Hanson. The Boats were titled in Ws. because they were owned By Mercury Marine loaned to Sea World Ski dept. Every year they were equipped with the latest and greatest Horses of the new model year/. The Sea World boats were not Bartlett boats. Bartlett Boats were 1972....... Sea World started their own show in 1973. Those were Sea World Boats................. dm
You can bet that since Mercury owned them, they were set up right. Look how far forward the battery is in the single. I would guess that the motors were propped to really turn up the rpm. It is all in the prop/setup. The driver probably weighs all of 160. jim
Not sure , but the driver in the picture where he is waving to the crowd, looks like my brother , Bill "lurch" Leitch, from Ohio. Is this picture from Sea World in Ohio? year- 1974 ? or so, Thanks Dyne73
