Just thought that I would ask what everyone is using to tow thier boats around. A little different topic, just to get things a bit lively. I tow with a 2000 Ford F-250 crew cab v10.
Nice truck Daniel but Chevy's Rock. If you look close you might see the a$$ end of my Chevy Tahoe. Oh well this is a Hydrodyne site.
We tow with a 2004 Dodge Durango with a Hemi. Just thinking about that thing causes 2 gallons of gas to spontaneously evaporate.
Ahhh yes, the vehicle of choice was a matching 2 door 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe. I sold that and now have a Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4 door.
My tow vehicle is a 1999 Chevy Suburban. Jim - I also used to own a 1996 Impala SS (Green), which was damaged during an attempted theft from the Metra train station while I was at work during the first year I owned it. I traded it in on a 1996 Corvette Grand Sport while it was being repaired because I knew it would never be right again. The deadbeat chopped up the dash with some sort of tool (among other damage) before exiting the car after figuring out he couldn't steal it because of the anti-theft system. Of all the cars I've owned (and I've owned some pretty cool stuff), my Impala SS was my favorite car, hands down. You're lucky to still have yours. It is like traveling in a really fast livingroom.
Yea Mark, I bought mine new and I plan to keep it. I keep my wife in a fairly new car, but there is no replacement for the SS. I installed airbags in the rear springs and it tows really well. I also beefed up the trans a little. I don't drive it a lot anymore since we have not been traveling with the boat. I use the Jeep around town. jim
