    Hello i have a restored 1975 hydrodyne18 ft ski boat with a freash 175hp Johnson what speed should i expect out of it ? and what should i run for a prop when not skiing. what is the fastest someone has had one of these boats up too

    I had an outboard with a 225 Johnson that would run in the sixties with a 23 prop, but it didn't feel real safe. I had built a 30 gallon tank to fit up front and that helped to keep the nose down, but most dynes will try and porpoise bad real bad when you trim up to get some speed.

    1973 Hydrodyne 18 w/Twin 1150 Mercs
    I can hit about 55 with 19" props and dual 115s. I have 2 side saddle tanks that hold 17 gallons each.
