Just an FYI for anyone interested, after our last show I pulled the engine hours off to see how many we put on this year:

Triple rig - 2006 DI 150 Evinrudes 96 hours each this year 292 hours combined
    Big twin 2007 225 E-Tecs 225 118 hours each this year 236 combined - don't tell my wife I drove this much!
    Twin 115 E-tecs 90 hours each 180 combined
    SIngle 225 105 hours
    Safety boat 115 E-Tec 54 hours
    Safety boat 90 E-Tec 26 hours

Total 893 combined trouble free engine hours this year.
Did have a water in fuel horn on my twin rig this year for both engines within 5 hours of each other.
We'll still be skiing with the single rig for a few more weeks.
I think this generally supports the idea that engines that get used often have the least problems, fresh fuel etc.
