The guy who had it used it for a fishing boat with pedestal seats. It had an electric shift 50 hp Johnson on it. The good thing is that it had the separate floor as opposed to the 1969 18 I located. this one if restorable needs everything. Fin is gone, I assume knocked off long ago.

Looks like an old competition club boat with the stars across the bow.

Is that a serial number in the transom? If so what does it say? It looks like there might be one on the inside too. I am only interested in the first three letters.

That looks like a candidate to me if the core is ok. Transom, floor, and stringers will need to be replaced. Talk to Markbano, he did that. He cut the deck loose from the hull and redid that joint also. That makes it a new boat.

I believe the tag has P71 as the first 3 characters, or D71. I'll have to look closer. I assume the 71 refers to the year. the Title says 1971.

According to the guy in Indiana who we got it from, it had twin 140 Chryslers on it at one point.

Does the title say who made it? It should be either Midwest or Crosby.

I've got a few pictures of this boat from when it was for sale several years ago. I'll post them here tomorrow just for fun.

1971 would have been Midwestern Industries in Harlan, Indiana.

What was the first year for the 18's with stringers and a raised floor and where were they built?
