Does anyone have any info on where I may be able to come up with a boom for my 76 18?

Ski Schooler on here has a nice KW boom with the boom caddie that helps save your gunnel from wear. I know he posted a picture of it at some point probably a couple years ago now. If you need help with contact info message me to get one from KW

I have a KW with a vertical bar and cross bar that sits on the gunnel. I am happy with it.

The deck on an 18 is pretty thin in that area and I didn't want to break through with the vertical T bar. The support was mocked up in 3 pieces...fitted and tweeked until it was perfect and tig welded on the bench. I then glued it in with "Plexus" adhesive.

Attached is a picture of the "Boom Buddy" I bought from Karl @ K.W. show ski to use this same boom on the 20 foot twin rig I purchased. With this you don't need the "T" bar that sits on the gunnel.

The one I mentioned is the same as the one pictured above on Bob's boat. I did not put a support under the gunnel as Bob did, but I do have my T-bar set further out to the side where it sits more on the vertical wall of the boat. A support sounds like a good idea, just in case type of deal though.
