That boat is now back in the Fox Lake area where I originally purchased it. From what I was told by the guys at Twin Lakes Marine, this was Abs attempt at the getting into the barefoot outboard market. As far as I know, it was the only one the factory produced.

What makes it a "Barefoot" ?

I'm always on the look for Dynes in the Fox Lake area, have not seen this one. There are a few 20s in Twin Lakes/Powers Lake area I should get pictures of.

I've been skiing on the lake where this boat is for a few years now but never got close enough to notice this is the boat! It's out on the lift again this year, presumably doing fine. Deep Lake, IL

Anyway, is this a 20' boat? It looks exactly like the 20' but shorter, so 18' maybe but not the shape of the 18'...

It's a 20 Dyne Comp with a different decal package.

It is definately a 20 footer. It had a full interior with rear facing observers seat, side bolsters, and full back seat that tilted up for storage. There was also ski storage under the front deck that was quite nice, but the only trade off was they now put the gas tank in the rear.
When I purchased that boat it was stored outside and the gel coat was faded badly. The interior was also ruff.... After many..many hours (more than I care to admit) of wet sanding and buffing I got the colors to come back up. I also repainted the trailer, and redecaled the boat and trailer with the original font "Hydrodyne" logos.
It was a great boat for the years I owned it, and with the "High 5" 17 pitch prop I installed it pulled like a freight train.
