I need a new boat cover for my dyne. I want one that goes over the pylon and has enough room for my triple release on it. I have a windshield on the boat as well. My cover is getting old and has some small holes developing in it. Where can I get a new cover? Is it better to just find someone that can custom make a new one? All ideas and suggestions would be great. Thanks

Sounds like you are looking for a custom built cover. Anything off the shelf usually fits like a limp bag , and have problems staying on in the wind.

I had custom covers built for my Dynes, and although very expensive...well worth it in the end.

I make my own covers now. My first cover was made by a tent maker. She did it fast and cheap. It lasted for years.

For that price or just a little bit more you can buy a walking foot upholstery sewing machine and make your own cover. I own two of those machines. One is here and one is at my daughter's place. I have made three boat covers and upholstered my Dyne 18 and the machines have paid for them selves.

It is not difficult and I wound up with really cool covers that I probably would not have been willing to pay for. They are transport covers. I can tow with them on.

About 80% or more of the price is labor.
