    "Birthday Boating Bash"
    Lake Piru, CA
    May 4th - 7th 2007

I've decided to start a traditional...I'll call it annual "Birthday Boating Bash" weekend that will be the 2nd week of May every year open to all interested. This years event will be held at Lake Piru near Filmore (West of Magic Mountain). I've made my reservations for 3 nights and 4 days on the 4th -7th of May. Everybody registers themselves. I've also reserved a 12 passenger pontoon boat for all to enjoy with or without boats on Saturday. No charge, Dads treating.

I'm in space 161E and 162E (E is for electrical). Great bathrooms with laundry facility and hot showers. Check out the web site and if you want to just show up and camp nearby my site or make reservations by phone with credit card. http://www.lake-piru.org

    LAKE BERRYESSA MEET
    Napa County
    June 8th-10th 2007
    UPDATED INFORMATION!
    Reservation Deadline - May 7th

The meet will be held at Rancho Monticello Resort, 6590 Knoxville Rd, Napa, CA 94558.

This is a different resort than where I originally had reserved several group sites.
Unfortunately, the group sites there had some terrain and access issues making it not ideal for us, so I continued my search for the ideal spot.

Rancho Monticello Resort has some really prime lake front camping for us. We will all have an individual site with BBQ grill and picnic table.
Pets are welcome here too, so Fido can come after all!

The people at the resort are very excited to have us. In fact, they said: “We want those cool old boats, Get them in here, please! (The guy at the front desk said he’s been wanting to restore a glassic himself and is anxious to meet us.)

If you want to bring your RV, there are full hookup sites. If you don’t need hookup, you can get a regular site with the rest of the gang. Cabins are also available.

The only catch is that due to high-season, there is a 3 night minimum. So, if you reserve Thursday night, you can set up camp anytime after Thursday 5PM (If no one is in your site when you arrive, you can set up early). The gate will be open all night for late arrivals. Or, if you want, stay a Sunday night instead of a Thursday and boat on Monday.
(There were several people who have indicated they wanted to come early and/or stay later anyway.)

The resort is doing us a huge favor by holding 21 of their nicest sites for us. PLEASE MAKE YOUR OWN RESERVATION ASAP. After May 7th, all sites will be made available to the general public, so book fast!

Call: 707-966-2188 and tell them you are with the classic boat group/Peggy.

I made a map of the campsites for you to pick from, sites 21-43 are being held for us. There is a nice big beach area along sites 40-43 where we can all park our boats. Great place for the kids to run too.

    CABINS:
Please check with them for available cabins. http://www.ranchomonticelloresort.com/cabins.html

    Spanish Flat Resort: http://www.spanishflatresort.com/

On the south side of the lake there are two types of cabins and motel rooms. It's a nice resort with pool, tennis court, beach and beautiful lake views. http://www.steelepark.com/

Please email me know ASAP if you would like to attend as time is not on our side. Also, I can put you on the list and keep you updated on all the details by e-mail. If you're interested in making it an extended stay (Sunday night too) let me know as we may have enough people for that. The sites are available!

    Reservation Deadline - May 23rd

The Sixth Annual "San Antonio Lake Gathering" 2007 is a GO!!! We hit the minimum of 10 sites needed to keep the reservations!

Lake San Antonio is outside in Paso Robles, CA. The Harris Creek A-Loop 26 site area (w/hook-ups) reservations have been made for a "Weekend of Fun in the Sun with our Boats".

Jill will be taking the registration/reservations and collecting the campsite fees. Please contact her ASAP as we only have a few weeks to confirm the reservations for the group area and pay for them, we need to know how many sites to secure. The cost for the two nights of camping per site is $54.00.

The only other cost for the weekend is the $6 per day for your boat, paid at the gate.

Send your check or money order by the May 23rd Deadline for $54.00 to:

    Fourth Annual "Whiskey Run"
    Redding, CA
    Cancelled

The Fourth Annual "Whiskey Run" 2007 as you have already heard has been cancelled. We hope to have it back on the calendar for 2008!

    New Melones Lake
    Sonora, CA
    July 27,28,29th

The dates previously planned for the "Whiskey Run" have been filled! It will be held at New Melones lake near Sonora...Huge lake and a very private camp area called Manzanita, in the Tuttletown branch of the camp area.

Peggy is helping by putting up a map of the area that will show the campsite numbers and also will show a shallow beaching area with minimum rocks right adjacent to the western-most sites.!! Straight north a few minutes walk are very nice flush style rest rooms and showers!!

Cost is $16 bucks a night and two night minimum, but with this---CAVEAT...You must make your own reservations (by campsite number) and make no mention of the group name or Fiberglassics dot com or they will want insurance, which was one of the reasons the "Whiskey Run" ran into problems with this year.

To reserve your site, please visit the Reserve USA: http://www.reserveusa.com or call 1-877-444-6777.

Direct link to the Tuttletown reservation page:
    http://www.recreation.gov/campgroundDet ... AREA%20(CA)

WE CAN DO THIS FOLKS!!...There's even a few campsites near the north end to park an RV or two in the campsites themselves. If this gets as big as Berryessa is shaping up to be, I will try to put another cool raffle together for all of you...Go forth and register..We're counting on you!!!...JB
