Our ski team is replacing the floor in a 1984 20 footer. We are just kicking around the idea of coating the top of the plywood with something other than carpet. We are not really into looks, just ease of maintenance because it's a club boat. Although we take great care of our "team stuff", it will see fairly rough use, with skis and skiers in and out, so toughness and easy care means more to us than appearance. Have any of you rebuild experts out there tried anything else? Not sure what may be on the market, all that comes to mind is something like a spray-on bed liner....something along those lines. If not we will just throw some carpet in, but it seems to us it would dry out quicker without carpet in there holding water.

By the way, our show ski team recently ran a promo at a Dubuque shopping mall with our other Dyne, a 20 footer with twin 225 Evinrudes.
It is another old Dyne we got on the cheap and fixed up for our team. Lots of nicks and dings but we polished it up and it looked good. Folks really got a kick out of seeing it, and of course the number 1 question was "How fast does it go"? We just said that to us it is more tractor than race car!

Thanks, love the site and Hydrodynes! :D

I have seen some of the clubs use "Rhino Liner" on the floors of their boats. It comes in colors and really doesn't look that bad applied. It's very duarable and easy to keep clean.

Thanks Bob, we may try that.
