We went for a ride today. We just got in and it is still 74 degrees at 5:45. It was a beautiful day.

My next door neighbor has a 22 Scarab that needed a little help. We test drove it early this afternoon and it inspired me to get the Dyne out.

The water is still cold though.

    Jim,
This Floridian thing of yours has some real merits. I was out chipping ice off of my driveway this afternoon at 5:35. It was cooling off and the snow that had melted was freezing back into ice again. Dynes up in this neck of the woods have to take a breather (through a heavy blanket, and they can see their breath) in the cooler months.
Please go for another ride tomorrow and take a couple of pictures and post them to give those of us up north a taste of what is to come.
In advance, you have my gratitude, Tim

Can we all come down there and stay with you for awhile? :good:

Nice to see your post Tim - hope you are doing well.

I've spent the day cleaning this hangar. It would be quicker to burn it down. Ever notice how much junk you can collect over time?

I'm sending a lot of nice stuff to Goodwill. Just feeling a need to make some room here!

What could be better than pictures of my hangar cleaning in process, attached?

A day in the life of Markbano? Now we know it is February in the Midwest.

My view from the hangar computer desk.....

Never like to be too far from the business end of the Dyne....

By the way - I've got two Kitty Cats for sale if anyone is interested. My boys seem to have outgrown them (second picture).

Let me know if you want to buy them and be parent of the year.

    Mark,

Your engine plates look good. They turned out nice.

    Hi Greg! Thanks!

I just noticed looking at the picture again, though, that there are some strange shadows in the photo which make the back of the boat look sort of strange. Not sure what that's all about.

I did get some water staining on the plates but I think some wax will probably cure that.

I have a number of things I want to do to the boat before spring and I'm just hoping I find some time to get them done - like installing some sort of stereo...

    Mark,
What about some hidden speakers, marine grade, of course, and all of the electronics neatly tucked away in order to preserve them and the absolutely sanitary appearance of your Dyne. It could be operated remotely via a waterproof remote, or perhaps one of those new fangled Iphone things, which I might add do well up there on the Manitowish chain. An Interactive link to your office where the hologram of MarkBano appears between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday studiously at his desk in Downtown Chicago, remotely operated as the REAL MarkBano plies the wind and waves of the Northwoods. We can blipvert the onlookers of the hologram in order to fool them completely and them do the "flashy thing" found in the movie "Men In Black". Mark could do this ice out until ice in and then tow the boat slowly home and appear for real in his office.
How can this we get this done. I want the patent on it.
    Tim

Daniel did a very good job on the stereo in his dyne, complete with a bone-rattling subwoofer in the bow (it makes little waves in the water when it hits 8O ). It generally sounds pretty good in the "cabin" and if I remember, Daniel didn't say it was terribly difficult to install.

We took another ride yesterday. It was a great day. We went to a Sunday School party last night. I did not realize that they were on the lake. Next time we will go by Dyne. It's quicker.

I put new tires on the Wrangler and it hauled the boat out on the beach like a paved ramp.
