I have had a bunch on inquiries from poeple wondering how a 17.6 Dyna-Ski would perform with a 90 hp motor. Seems there are many lakes in the US with horsepower limits on them. So I borrowed a 90 from a local dealer and took it skiing. The passengers weight was 400 lbs. The prop an aluminum 3 blade 17 pitch. Skier 185 lbs. Started deep water on a single wood ski. Pull was not to slow or fast as it is a 90 hp motor on a 17.6 boat.

My wife swivels skis and the pull was solid and steady for swivel skiing at 16 mph on the GPS.

Our 17.6 Open Bows are about 500 lbs heavier than a 17.6 Closed Bow so the 17.6 Closed Bow should perform a little better than the Open Bow.

Hopefully I can do a little more prop testing to optimize the combination. I can tell you it is excellent on fuel.

Cool information, The more you have the better, there have been a bunch of Prop and power questions in the past.
