Going fast in a Dyne

    My advice is: don't try it. The hull is a very good water ski hull but it will bite you at high speed (70+). During the time that Swvski1 was pregnant and when my grandson was little, I decided that I wanted to go really fast (100+)

    So, I bought a hot boat, A tunnel. It would go 80 at half throttle and was a blast to drive. Top speed was well over 100 and it felt best in the 80 to 100 range. It took rough water much better than the Dyne, the ride was quite smooth.

    It was a Mirage Jaguar with a 2.5 EFI rated by Merc racing at 260. Of course I hopped it up considerably.

    I'm glad I got that out of my system without getting hurt. Here we are at the toys for tots run:

    hydrodyne 64or66
    ours would top out around 60ish

    We did a lot of skiing and tubing at that speed. as long as don't fall your ok
