Here is a step-by-step guide to uploading:

Jim, that's bizarre. I'll keep looking into this. Might be a permissions problem or something. I'll check right now.

If pictures are sent to the site administrator because they can't be uploaded due to size or other problems and the emailer wants them uploaded to the forum. Let it be known that if you are a member I will fix your photos and upload them under your name. If you don't want that don't send me the photos.

This allows me to see photos uploaded by each member. Giving me the ability to look up photos by members for the purpose of Boat of the month or other things.

I keep trying and all I get is this message:

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@hydrodyners.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Check the size of your file. If it is over 1mb in size you will have to make it smaller. Usually file sizes over 1MB will be abnormally large picture sizes (This is native from your camera) Most of the time if you change the picture size to 8x10 or 800x600 pixels you will be ok.

Most pictures should be in the area of 80-300kb

    Plantman,

I've changed a couple settings on the server. You might want to try again and see how it works out.

Either way, as 2Mercs mentioned, the absolute maximum file size for forum uploads is 1mb and 5000x5000 pixels. That limit is set by the server. If your file does not fall into BOTH of those limits, it will be rejected by the server.

Not sure if that was the case here, but it usually is.

    Happy uploading! <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" border="0" alt="Very Happy" title="Very Happy" />
