Here's A few pics from my '04 season driving for the Waterbugs, My uncle who works at Ewald Auto in Milwaukee Painted the boats with a new color in '04 called electric blue with a Viper red stripe on the side and the bow. I Think it looks absolutly awsome. The boats look even better with no side decales but hey... sponsorship!
So where are you now Mike? Looks like you've had quite a few good years in show skiing. Are you still involved? Have you always been a driver, or did you start as a skier?
Now I'm living in Janesville, I'm actually taking this summer off, I got married last summer, and need to take some time off It's a huge commitment. I've been in show skiing since I was about 6-7 years old. I didn't do much skiing, just Dock, Sound, and Safty boat. I spent most of my time riding in the back of a Dyne while my Dad drove for the Browns lake Aquaducks, Burlington, WI. I fell completly in love with the boat. Then we took a little break from it, and when I turned 18 I started to drive. For Browns lake, then muskego, then The Rock Aqua Jays in Janesville where I drove last year. Now it's time for a year off. So it's been about 7-8 years behind the wheel until now.
The first or top photo you posted it looks like you just nailed the throttles did the photographer catch you before the boat moved?
yeah! it's one of my favorite ones! The Motors havn't even responded yet (no prop wash) It's a cool photo.
