What is that white lid on the extended floor under the spotter seat? Beer cooler?

I like that extended floor on the port side. If I had seen that I might have copied it and just had a rear facing spotter seat. That is a nice deal - leaves lots of room in the rest of the boat. I ain't doin' more fiberglass work at this point, though. I've inhaled enough vinylester resin for now.

Also- is there a bilgeway under your floor from the forward footwell back to the bilge area? I'm just curious to know what Tom did with that.

Finally, if you can figure out where he got the chrome grab handles I'd sure like to know because I can't seem to find them looking on-line.

    Thanks!

The mystery lid is just that. A mystery lid. Tom Decided that the space he covered with floor should be useable still and put in the mystery lid for storing whatever you want to store. I am wishing that the mystery lid was a little larger though because the compartment goes all the way back to where the drivers footwell begins. So, it's a long reach to find whatever you crammed in there and has shifted aft under standard acceleration. Not sure I would want to use it as a beer cooler, as I don't know how well the water will drain from there. I haven't been able to tell if there is a drain on that side or not, but should inspect further. I think the spotter seat may have a garbage bag installed for cold beverage storage though.

As far as I can tell, there is a hole near the center of the boat in the drivers footwell that goes all the way through to the back. I haven't dumped a bucket of water in there to test the flow yet, but I'm sure I will find out soon (shortly after I roll the boat on edge and fill it with a few gallons of water). Unfortunately, in the back, there isn't an easy way to plug the hole, since the majority of the space between the floor and the hull in the bilge area is wide open, and I haven't been able to reach in far enough to find a definite hole.

I will be checking with Tom on the grab handles, as I need at least one more. I would also like to get some carpet from him that matches so I can make a cover for the bilge, and possibly some mounts for speakers that fit up under the gunnel and hopefully out of plain sight.
