    Hi gang I have had a 21 foot flat top for the last 16 years shes on her third motor and second jet yes I said jet I converted it to jet drive the day I got the boat we ran the original omc four cyl till it gave up then built a 4.3 v6 and ran the #$%@@ out of that till the boat gave up lol so I pulled the deck off and recored and stringered the hull then put a 355 inch roller small block in her and have been running the $&*t of that for the last 6 years

    How do flat tops handle in rough water? I see you have had yours a long time .. You have seem a storm or 2 whats your opinion .... I have a 1974 24' flat top with outboard is Lake Erie ?able or is the boat fine in rough water????

    It depends I have been out in a gale with my 21 with two very seasoned crew ,water will come over the deck and you will get wet we surfed the backers and had a blast but at speed the short chop is a bumpy ride
