I recently was lucky enough to get a 1960 16' I/O Drive Hydrodyne for FREE. The boat is in very good shape. It has a 4 cyl Volvo Penta with Twin Carbs. My question is does anybody have any kind of info about this boat. What kind of HP is this motor rated at? Where is a good source for replacement parts? I want to go over the entire motor and electrical system before I get this thing out on the water. The floor and hull all seem to be in great shape. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the new boat, and welcome to the forum! :clapping:

Hi there, I am restoring a '64 1700. Lots of pictures of her dissassembled. Mine has a 1.8 ltr volvo rated at 100 hp. My grandfather had a '63 1600 with an 80 hp 1.6 ltr volvo. There should be a tag on your lower port side of your block with an AQ100/??? or a number like BB70. That tag should have the clue. Send pictures of your boat!
