Performance Question - 18' with 90HP 4-Stroke

    I just reviewed that thread and I see that you are at Lake Tahoe. The 90 hp will only put out a little over 70 hp at that altitude, but I think it will still meet the expectations that you outlined. The speed will be a little less than we stated.

    I am going to post a link to the NADA site for boats (in the motor area) where you look up the average retail prices for motors. I regularly see them advertised for up to twice the NADA values. In this economy, I am seeing them bring less than the NADA prices in this area. Boats are not selling here.

    Another issue to consider is high altitude gears. In the 90 hp range you will probably need them if you are going to operate at 4000 feet or more.
