I'm a newbie here, but have been a Hydrodyne lover for the last 13 years!

Long story short; I had a horrible day yesterday I have been trailering my 21' Grand Sport A LOT lately, and apparently repacking your bearings once a season wasn't enough for me. I had my right axle seize up and my wheel came flying off doing 65 down the highway...

Now I'm looking at having the wrecking company rebuild my axel (I cant get it home to work on) or buy a new trailer.

Anyone have any idea where I can get a new trailer or axle components? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this type of axle on my trailer. It probably has 50k miles in 21 years with no failures. The grease is changed with a grease gun with no dis-assembly required.

    It is not expensive.

It is highly possible, that by the time you pay for parts and rebuild on both hubs, you may be better off just buying a new axle. Something to look into any way.

When I owned my Dyne I virtually had the same thing happen to me while trailering it north. One spindle got chewed and hub and bearings toast. I found it cheaper to replace the entire axle assembly complete with bearings and hubs. I would go that route especially if there was any damage to the spindle.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help and I am REALLY glad I found this forum! I have someone coming out to look at it tomorrow, and make sure it's not worth just totaling...

Finding a new trailer may mean having one built. A time consuming process.
