Does anyone in Hydrodyner land have an outlet for the old surface mount AquaMeter tachometers? My dash has yet to be drilled for flush mount guages, and I would like to keep it that way. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, IndyDyne
There is one on Ebay right now. Brand new Airguide surface mount Still in the original box. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vtg-Airg ... 0289704536 It is currently $52.00 Daniel
Daniel, Excellent find on the speedometer. I wish it mathced my current setup so I could have a spare. Both speedometers are working fine currently, but my tach is only registering 1200 rpm when I am turning 6. If I cannot find a replacement tach, does anyone know of a repair facility for this type of tach? Thanks, IndyDyne
Call Palo Alto speedometer. There number is online. Also I think north Hollywood speedometer is online. There are probably closer one too. It is not rocket science. jim
Also check this out. Hurry, I think it closes soon. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Boat-Pa ... 06.c0.m245 jim
Jim, Thanks for the information. The ebay tach said it was for a Merc so I hesitated and it sold very cheaply before I could make a bid. Oh well, I am still not sure whether it would have worked with my Evinrude. I will give Palo Alto a try. Thanks again, Brian
OK, Here is another possibility for cheap. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AIRGUIDE ... 3aUSQ3a101 jim
A word about e-bay. Buyers wait until seconds to go then put the most they are willing to pay in order to fake out the people that do not know how the bidding system works. The sales price will not necessarily be your max. The system will only outbid the second highest bidder UP TO your max assuming your max is the highest bid. You could bid $100 and get it for $51 if the second highest bid is $50. Bidding with only seconds to go precludes any reaction to that bid. jim
I hope you are watching e-bay because there are several airguide tachs for evinrude, both for points type and electronic for cheap. They probably match your speedometers better than the aquameter. jim
