Due to my 1978 18 Dyne having some age on her transom, I added a little ( Beefing Up ) just to be safe, her transom is still in good shape but you just never know under the torqe of the Big 3.0, 225 Merc with the High Five prop !!
Not only does she have a 1/4" plate across her transom but I added an additional, 1/4" stainless steel angle, 1" solid rods welded to the 4" angle that is held down to the tow bar pull out pin assembly in the floor that is also anchored by 8, 8" stainless lag bolts that go into the beefed up tow bar mount that I did when I put a new floor in. The mount can stay in place yet I can still pull my tow bar out, I have a three point pull pin assembly so I can get Her in the garage !

It is getting close here in South Carolina for the summer boating and can't wait, hello to all fellow Hydrodyner's out there and pull safe !
