I know we talked about this awhile back, but I can't seem to find the posts on it. I need to get dimensions, material, and thickness information for a transom support for the outside of the boat and engine mounting bolt supports for the inside of the boat.

My neighbor is going to have the parts made at his shop but I need to tell him what size, what to make the supports out of, and the thickness.

    Any suggestions out there?

    Thanks!

I'm reposting this. Greg or Bob - I thought one of you could probably answer this one. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Mark,

I thought I gave you all the dimensions a couple of months ago off my boat when I still had it here at the house. It's now in storage about 80 miles away in my buddies pole barn. If you want the measurements I could call him and have him get them. Let me know.

You might have given them to me. I'm going to search my PMs and email. Sorry!

I'm picking the boat up this morning. I'll post a pic when I've got it home.

    Mark,

The posts are here under the "Running a big motor on an 18" section. You can probably just visualize the size of the plates just by viewing the photos, and then measuring on your boat. I would definately use them. Have them made in aluminum not stainless. Stainless is too heavy, and a pain to work in. I remember the Chain SKimmer's old 1989 twin had a stainless plate on the back, and it was a pain in the arse to drill through even with some nice Cobalt bits.
