It is going to need lots of work. We don't know what year it is. Any guesses? Does anyone know where to purchase the parts? Does anyone know if this is the original windshield and if they still make them? Also, does anyone know where to get the correct engine cover.

First of all, welcome Wendy and Henry. I don't care for some of the early runabouts, but yours is pretty. You might want to check out these pages for some information:

Parts are difficult to find. The windshield looks simple and the missing pieces could easily be fabricated out of standard parts. I like it better than the plastic wrap around ones.

The original engine cover is pretty ugly in my opinion (Sorry Ab). Since it is missing, now is your chance to fabricate a pretty one.

Thanks for the info. It is going to take awhile but as we restore we will post pictures. I sent a PM to AB Crosby but it seems to be stuck in the outbox.

Welcome to the site Henry and Wendy!! Good luck on getting the ol' boat up and running.

As far as I recall, all messages remain in the Outbox until the recipient reads them. Then they are moved to the Sent Items folder.

Thanks. That is good to know. I thought I did something wrong. This is a great site and I hope to find answer to getting this boat restore to its greatness.
