    Mark,

It has been proven that multiple props outpull single props. The Rock Aqua Jays did a little research program on that issue years ago. The 20' twin and triple rigs have no peer when it comes to pulling big acts. I think you will find that even if a club is sponsored by an inboard company, they will have a Dyne around if they pull big acts. And there are clubs that use Dynes exclusively like the Backwater Gamblers.

I have seen twin merc v-6's on an 18 (former club in Alton IL), but that takes an experienced and dedicated driver. They had a 20 with a single on it too!

We do a little waterskiing now and then with our 1986 Hydrodyne XP. Here we are at the Show Ski Nationals in 2004

    OK,

I did not know that she was going to come over here and join. She is a big fan of Hydrodyne boats. If you look at the wake you will see why. The boat is probably going 15 1/2 to 16 in the picture. It has been set up to do that. There are miles of video tape and many pictures of her behind a Hydrodyne. She has done her part to keep the dream alive. Thank you Swvski1.

Her husband is driving and it is his second tournament. The first was the regionals. He put that boat where it needed to be and on speed, and Janesville is not an easy show course to drive. I told him that he has towed in two tournaments and had two first places. It has to be a world record.

Oh, and that is her first pass so she is about 150 feet out from a dock start. Guys and gals, this is what these boats were designed to do. And, as old as they are, they do it better than anything out there if they are properly set up.

    Thanks for the picture swvski1.

Is there some reason why my post was deleted? It was not uncalled for by any means. I guess Dan must be trying to keep the peace between the select few that use this web site. I suggest that the next time someone starts bagging someone elses Hydrodyne they should keep in mind that we are all a very close knit group. Jim, Mark- I don't think either of you would like it if I was talking garbage about your boats. The guy that bought my baby is a good guy, and we talk all the time. He is a good friend. Therefore be careful what you say to each other if you plan on being negative about each other's boats. It is just plain uncalled for. Enough said. Hope to see you at Janesville this weekend Jim.

Greg, where is this coming from? I wish I could convince you that there's been some miscommunication. I didn't bag your boat nor am I aware of anyone else bagging it. Why would I bag your boat in light of the clunker that I've got, anyway? I've never spoken with the guy who bought your boat. By the way - it isn't your boat anymore. Remember? You sold it. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /> Seriously, it is the nicest example of a Hydrodyne I've ever seen. It is a complete mystery to me that you believe that either Jim or I have ever thought or said anything to the contrary. I'd love to know how all this came about.

Ok, Daniel. Now you can delete my post. (I thought I'd save Jim the trouble, since I know that will be his next post). I did not post this as a private message because I wished to defend myself to all of you. I feel sort of wrongly accused here. All I've done is drool over this boat and now somehow I'm accused of trashing it. If I trashed it, which I didn't, it would be out of envy, my friend.

    Greg:

I blocked the text regarding your boat from my email. Here is what I said about your boat in my E-Mail to the guy who bought it (he contacted me, by the way):

[...it is actually a better boat because the mold - particularly the deck mold - was improved. I would have bought it too, if I hadn't been so far into my project. I haven't seen the boat in person - I've seen pictures of it and have talked to the guy who had it built. It is a really nice boat....]

[... I didn't see it until this year and it was too late or I would have been interested. It is a good buy even at a fairly high price because it is a boat you can no longer buy... In short, you've got yourself one very, very nice boat there. I only hope mine looks as nice when it is done!]

Guys - I'm not sure how we get from these comments to "bagging." I suspect that perhaps I was misquoted or confused with someone else that he spoke with.

-Just wanted to clear the air, not to mention my good name.

    Hey guys,

You are right we do have just a select few here on the site and I am just trying to keep the peace. So please don't be upset with me deleting the two posts. After all how closely related was the topic to "Anyone Waterskiing"

    Thanks for understanding,
    Daniel
