Craig, Could you post a picture of your boat on this site ? That should help identify it. Is the picture in the avatar your boat ? Bob
I was going to take a picture of the tag but it was kind of corroded. It is a aluminum block with those numbers stamped into it on the transom where most serial numbers are stamped in the fibreglass.Very interesting thanks for your help Craig
@Dyne Bob: The 20 you are showing looks to be a pre-1985 with the dash instrument pod separate from the top deck lay-up. I could be wrong as in they might have transitioned in 85, but my 85 20 i/o has the instrument cluster integrated with the top deck lay-up. see attached
The boat in the avatar looks like it has the newest deck style. We have discussed when the deck was redesigned in years past. Let's hear a new discussion of that. My opinion is early to mid 90's. The first one I saw was 1997 built by Tom Miller with his company id. jim
This is the id plate on the transom looks like with id number HD180785 Does this look like an original Hydrodyne I'd plate before they stamped it in the fibreglass? I guess I can assume it's not a1985 but more likely in the 70s it doesn't mater as I have completely rebuilt it. Did try originally have a bottom fin?
The id tag is just under the gunnel starboard side where you would expect it to stamped in the hull Also few of my favourite pictures of I guess not my 1985 Hydrodyne
