I restored a 1977 MGB kill myself for getting rid of it. I am with you Swvski I will get another one someday. Except I might go for a MGB-GT this time around.

Well I haven't checked this site in a few days, and boom! Man it got hot in here all of a sudden. I do think we can keep personal thing sout of this site, but I DO think it is good to clear the air about the rumors about the building of the boats, molds, etc. There is nothing wrong with that.

BTW Pam, you did have the opportunity to purchase a certain 18 a couple of years ago, but didn't pursue it. Now you gotta fight Dynebob1 for it! JK Actually I think I saw an 18 for sale here in Belvidere the other day. It was a non-show use boat. It was a single rig that I noticed at a four way stop out in the country. It had a for sale sign on it. I didn't pull over, I resisted the temptation. I did notice that it had an original wishbone trailer though.

I just can't get over the fact that I missed being the 1,000th post by exactly one minute this morning. I should have typed faster.

Thanks Greg but two Hydrodynes in one family are enough, at least for the time being. What kind of boat are you holding out for?

2MERCS - My best friend in high school had an MGB. We had a blast in that thing. My high school had several buildings that were connected by walkways slightly wider than a sidewalk. After hours we would drive all over the place on them! For some mysterious reason, the car never seemed to stay parked where she left it and it turned up in some very mysterious places.

    Pam,

Have your dad buy this one I found for you, and he can keep himself busy this winter making a new perfect swivel boat just for you. Boat is a good project boat. For the little money he is asking I am sure your dad can find a nice used 75hp for your new lake that is cheap. He has got the resources in FL.

    Greg

PM me your cell number and I can text message you some photos that I took this evening on my cell phone's camera. They were not that great, but you get the idea.

Why am I suddenly reminded of a commercial for Life cereal? "I'm not going to buy it. No, you buy it! Hey, let's get Mikey!"

The boat I have been looking out for is.......top secret. I guess you will just have to wait and see by next summer at Nats in Rockford. If I find one before then that is. I have been looking daily on the net for that perfect gem. Remember I have inhereted a nice bow rider Supra also. But trust me I do miss the performance outboard ski boats. I guess I can at least give you that hint. That's fair.

Out of the question. Way too dangerous! However I do like checking out the old Skimmer vids of it though. That boat was just plain nuts.

Thought I would post a picture of it here, besides one more post pushes me over the edge to Elite! Yes! This was from the 1981 Chain Skimmer program.
