Is it just me, or does that boat look just like Jaws? See what I mean, just plain scary!

I was not aware of those records mentioned in that article. Kinda impressive. Especially for back then.

    swvski1.

You can have mine anytime you want it and you know it. I do have a nice 75 lined up. Just say the word. Same with the MG.

The Cobia looks just interesting to me.

Thanks Dad, but I like having a boat here and a boat in Florida! I would love an MGB, but it just wouldn't work right now. Besides the fact I have nowhere to put it, it wouldn't hold all my junk. Not to mention the safety issues. For now, I will just have to be a frumpy minivan mom. Those sliding doors are handy!

You may be a minivan mom, but you are definitely not frumpy!!

If we took the MGB, stretched it to 4 doors, the rear doors slide open with the remote, and it pullls the triple 25 Dyne. Then it becomes a Mom's MacroMGB. Jim, would the triple 25's give a nice flat table for toe turns? We could get a hardtop that could change from the car to the boat.

Tim, I think you may be on to something there. My dad is at my brother's airshow this weekend so you will have to work out the details with him on Monday.

Any inkling of talent I may have is nothing compared to my bro. If anyone is interested, here is his website:

I tend to tell it the way it is using the facts and nothing else. Besides these forums need some stirring up sometimes. It is when people get carried away and start running off at the keyboard without any facts to back their rants and raves is when things get out of hand. That has happened at several other web sites and now they are seldom used by folks in the know or with a different opinion.

Old boats have a place in the boating world and so do old cars on the road, I happen to own a '68 Firebird Hot Rod. Fast and fun but not a good daily driver. It cost a lot of money to put the '68 togther, much more than it originally cost and more than a similiar performing late model car would have cost to purchase most likely so the person that said he had more money in restoring a used 18' Hydrodyne than a new 17.6 would cost really illustrates my position on the point. If you are looking to get the most of anything for the least money new can be the cheapest, easiest and fastest way to go. Not always but usually!

I have some awesome video of the new 17.6 Open Bow that will hopefully find its way onto this site eventually. I just need to edit the footage and then forward it to the site owner. So keep your eyes on this site for the next couple of months.

Get that video to me. I would be happy to put it up, the more cool videos the better.
