I know this was asked before and I don't want to start a big arguement with anyone, but I was talking to someone about if you can get a new 18 dyne with the original deck design? I tried looking back but could not find the right topic to answer the question.

It is my understanding that the old style deck mold no longer exists because it was modified to the new style.

The new mold was made off a modified deck which Skip built. The old mold still exists and a part can be made out of it.

    You know,

That is not the information that I got, but that is how I would do it. I have been wrong before.

I've seen the hull mold , old deck mold, and new deck mold. It does still exist.

I'm sure they have made great dust catchers over the years.

I like the new deck better but I have to say that the big aluminum ski tow tripod on the older Dynes is sort pretty cool, too. It just has that timeless brauny look to it.

I too like the tri pod pylons. I mounted mine through the new deck. I use a subwoofer port to trim the fiberglass. It worked perfectly. See photos.

Best of both worlds - new deck and tri-pod!

    Mark,

Since the deck was made from an original mold, is there any reason why you couldn't have Skip make you up just the upper portion and mount it to your hull. Have you given that any thought since you like the new deck design?
