    Nicely done!

Where did you get the rub rail?

    More pictures would be great!

In ref. to the trailer, I used the material from the main frame and completely refabricated the trailer to fit the boat as needed. I added an additional 2' to the length, added steps in front and back of the new fenders, added rollers and other small details.I had the trailer blasted to remove the hot dip galvanize due to the appearance,I painted the trailer with a Hi-Build epoxy primer and top coat.

The rubrail was purchased from Wefco.

Thanks for your comments, more pictures on the way.

If any of the "Deep South Dynes" are interested in a Dyne get together this summer let me know I'd like to attend.
Sounds like Lake Seminole would be a good place. Would be fun to organize a trip down the Chattahoochee to Panama City for a long weekend. I've made that trip 3 times (1st in my 76 O/B and twice in my 83 I/O) and would love to get with another group going.

It would be great to have a get together this summer. I live on Seminole right beside the state park and would be glad to host it. We could meet at the state park or my house. I'll kick around some dates to see who would be interested. There are several local dyners that aren't part of this group and I'll check with them also.

I wonder how many Hydrodynes from around the deep south we could get to come. Sounds like from the ones already on Seminole plus the ones that posted earlier we might get a dozed boats. I bet there are a lot more around the south that we'll never know about. Give us some dates to choose from. I'm really hoping to be able to go. I'll help with what I can from Birmingham.

You Gents from the Southland have the time of your lives at that meet. Us Northerners tried but the idea never seemed to catch much interest. My brother is a damn yankee cause he lives in Nashville Tn. now and he just won't go home, but he doesn't have a Dyne.

The Dyne had a Mercruiser with 302 Ford, "898" the outdrive may be salvagable but the motor was frozen to death & since sent to the recycler. I had a '72 tournament skier with the Volvo with a modified 302 Ford years ago & would probably prefer to switch to a volvo outdrive again. Also considering converting to an OB.

The Mercruiser is certainly easier to deal with from a parts standpoint. I had an 888 and a 898. The 898 was a 305 Chevy and the 888 was a 302 ford. The Ford is lighter.

I have a converted I/O. I ran it both ways for several years. I like it better as an outboard from a performance stand point. If I had it to do over again, I would buy a new boat.

The outboards are self draining except for any water in the lower unit gears.
